How To Make a Tumblr Account
I am going to show you how to make a Tumblr account.
First of all head on over to Tumblr.com.
Go ahead and hit the “Get Started” button.
Enter an email address, you can use a fake one if you don’t want to use your own.
Be aware that you need to confirm your account, so you need a fake email provider that will allow you to do this.
I highly recommend using the emailfake.com website.
Then enter a password you want to use.
Finally give your blog a name, be aware that this name will be in the sub domain of the Tumblr url.
So the one I have given above would be: seoservicesprovider.tumblr.com.
It is a good idea to get your keywords into the sub domain name.
When everything looks good go ahead and hit the “Sign up” button.
Enter your age and check the radio box to say you agree with the Tumblr Terms of Service.
Now you can go ahead and hit the “Next” button.
Next click on the “I’m not a robot” box to solve the reCAPTCHA.
After you have done that you will be redirected to the page in the image below.
Now select some categories you are interested in.
This will determine what is shown on your Tumblr account when you login.
Do not worry, none of this will show on your Tumblr blog unless you choose to republish any of the posts.
Go ahead and hit the “Next” button.
Now you will see the “Building your dashboard” screen.
You have nothing to do here, just wait for your Tumblr dashboard to load up.
Your dashboard will load up, you will see the verify your email message at the top of your screen.
Head on over to your emails.
This is the email you will receive from Tumblr.
Go ahead and click the “This is me!” button within the email.
After you verify your email you will see this page.
You can download the Tumblr app if you want to, it’s not required.
Simply select the “Or, skip to your dashboard” text.

Also you can make avatar image with direct dofollow link, with keywords in alt and title via html editing of theme.
It’s great, but not Tumblr uses new href.li to redirect external links. Kindest regards,
Yes, I see the new redirect, a different theme needs to be used, I will update shortly.
Hi Nick,
Any updates?
Thanks.
You can get the script from the originator https://magnusthemes.tumblr.com/post/643460974823833600/remove-redirects-v20
THat doesn’t work anymore… but if you change the shortcut url in the coding (the one that usually directs you to the top of the page) to a url of your choosing, oddly THAT works and just changes the functionality of it – and it’s the onlyo way I could find to NOT have a redirect through that “href li” bs …
Thanks for the feedback.
I have tried the given steps and copy paste the given code but still its showing http s://h ref.li/? in starting of every url.
Tumblr has changed their redirect and a different code is required. I will update soon with a new way to bypass the Tumblr redirect.
It does actually remove the redirects, but only if you look at the page. Try to view the page source/HTML code from the backend, it has redirects, and I checked it on linkcheckpro.com, there's no do-follow links detected, I think doing this method is still not considered as do-follow backlink, Does it?
You can use MOZ bar to check if the Tumblr links are dofollow. As you can see the links in the description area are dofollow:

Also, as you can see the Tumblr post links are dofollow too, even with the redirect in place and not removed:
To check for yourself you need to add the MOZ Bar extension to Chrome.
Then click on the pencil icon and select "Followed". All dofollow links will be highlighted in GREEN.
Any questions let me know ๐
Also, you can look at source code: hold down "Shift" and "CTRL" and "C". Go ahead and select the link and you will notice that the link element does not have a nofollow attribute attached to it rel="nofollow". The links are dofollow.
Just what I was looking for, now I don’t get the redirect from Tumblr and I am now certain the juice will pass to my website.
The ranking juice passes anyway, however it gives people peace of mind without the redirect in place.
Worked for me, now I know the juice will pass to my website. I had been looking for a way to remove the Tumblr redirect on backlinks for ages, thank you for sharing this information your blog is amazing by the way keep it up.
The juice will pass with the redirect in place, I have tried and tested it. Anyway, it’s always good to have the traffic flow quickly to your website, sometimes with a redirect in place a real website visitor might click back having to wait for the page to load. I will keep the posts coming ๐
Lol hi, that’s my code. Remove it or credit magnusthemes@tumblr
Yes I know, the credit is in the code ๐ for all to see
I meant, add a credit/link back to my original Tumblr post in your tutorial. I think it’s pretty rude to just re-upload my code elsewhere without even a link back to the source.
Sorry Bev, I didn’t read your original Tumblr post, I got the code from a tumblr that did not have the URL redirect and worked it in from there. I am happy to add a link to the source if you send me the URL ๐
Hey Bev, I don’t usually comment, but I want to comment to specially thank you for creating this awesome code.
Yes it’s great ๐ removes the Tumblr redirect so thank you for that it is much appreciated by all of us.
WOW, thanks Nick it worked for me ๐ No more Tumblr redirects.
No problem, it’s a nice easy way to remove the redirect from the links in your Tumblr blog posts.
